Call for Artists - Cash Prizes

Please share how you celebrate the holidays by generously donating your art to All The Trimmings!

Thousands of children and families in our community who face developmental and/or emotional challenges daily will benefit from funds raised through All The Trimmings.

All The Trimmings is a 3-day event

  • To build awareness of our services
  • To raise critically needed funds to help support our many programs
  • To celebrate the extraordinary creativity and generosity of our community

This is a great opportunity to:

  • Share how you celebrate the holidays
  • Support programs that help families coping with developmental challenges

Event Dates:

  • December 2:  Opening night party and sale
  • December 3-4:  All The Trimmings holiday boutique open

General Information
All The Trimmings will raise critically needed funds for Las Cumbres Community Services to benefit thousands of children, adults, and families facing developmental and/or emotional challenges. Las Cumbres will be grateful for all donated art — which does not need to be made specifically for this event — as long as it shares how the donor celebrates the holidays.

Entry Fee
There is no entry fee.  Artists may donate as many pieces as they wish.  The pieces will be sold (not auctioned) for the benefit of Las Cumbres.  All donated art becomes the property of Las Cumbres and will not be returned to the artists.

Cash Prizes – Drawing
For each piece an artist donates, his or her name will be entered into a drawing for cash prizes. (Although employees of Las Cumbres are encouraged to donate pieces for All The Trimmings, they or their immediate families are not eligible to enter the drawing.)

  • $500    Three prizes
  • $300    Four prizes
  • $150    Five prizes

Important Schedule

  • November 29  Deadline for delivery of finished pieces
  • December 2     Opening night VIP party and sale
  • December 3-4  All The Trimmings open to the public

Media
Any medium is acceptable, as long as the specifications are met.

Suggested Art Categories

  • For the Tree: Anything that goes on or near the tree, such as ornaments, tree-toppers, skirts, etc.
  • For the Table or Mantle:  Anything decorative that goes on a table or mantle, such as candlesticks, candles, centerpieces, serveware, runners, stockings, etc.
  • Hanging:  Anything that hangs, such as wreaths, retablos, small paintings, photos, necklaces or earrings (they hang from the neck or ears), etc.
  • Spiritual and/or Religious:  Items specifically related to a spiritual and/or religious use or symbol, such as crosses, nativity scenes, menorahs, dreidels, etc.

Donated pieces must fit in one of the following box or bag sizes (all measurements are in inches):

  • 2-1/2 x 1-1/2 x 7/8 box           
  • 8 x 5-1/2 x 2 box
  • 3 x 3 x 3 box etc.
  • 10-1/2 x 10-1/5 x 5-1/2 box
  • 12 x 12 x 12 box
  • 11 x 3 x 3 box
  • 15 x 7 x 7 box.
  • 18 x 18 x 7 (approx.) bag

The mission of Las Cumbres is to provide quality services, public awareness, and integrated community supports for children, adults, and families facing social, emotional, and/or developmental challenges.

Las Cumbres Community Services is a non-profit, 501(C)(3) organization that was incorporated in 1971.  Today, the organization is one of the largest social service providers in Northern New Mexico, offering direct services and outreach programs to children, adults, and families in Santa Fe, Rio Arriba, and Los Alamos Counties.  Programs include:

  • Infant mental health programs
  • Behavioral health programs for children ages prenatal to six
  • Conjunto, the only therapeutic preschool in Northern New Mexico
  • Fatherhood programs
  • Adult services such as day habilitation, supported employment, independent living, and supported living
  • Family Infant Toddler, a program that screens for delays and disabilities in children ages birth to three
  • Respite services for families
