The FSS program focuses on providing services to parents and primary/secondary caregivers of children 0-5 years of age to prevent child abuse and neglect. This position works to improve parent-child interaction and child health development in addition to increasing parents and primary/secondary caregivers knowledge of and ability to meet children's developmental needs. Key qualities to be successful in this role include: an outgoing personality, great communication and problem solving skills, highly organized and flexible. Must be proficient in data entry and have reliable transportation. BA required. Valid New Mexico Driver's License. Bilingual preferred.

Las Cumbres has one full time opening for an Espanola Family Navigation & Education Services, Family Navigator. The FNES Program is a multifaceted, intensive, community-based service program that works with families that have been referred by Child Protective Services in their homes and neighborhoods to help them meet the basic needs of their children, prevent child maltreatment and reduce further involvement with Child Protective Services. This position provides individualized support with an emphasis on parenting. Key qualities to be successful in this role include: an outgoing personality, great communication and problem solving skills, highly organized and flexible. Must be proficient in data entry and have reliable transportation. BA required. Valid New Mexico Driver's License. Bilingual preferred.

 

Home Visitor 
Confident Parenting Program  
Northern Rio Arriba with local travel

Part time Home Visitor needed for home visiting program that partners with families with children prenatal to three years old, to promote child development and confident parenting by supporting the relationship among the family, home visitor, and the community. Job duties include, but are not limited to assisting families in identifying informal support networks, providing referrals to community resources, providing information on prenatal health, new born care and child development, guiding families, caregivers and adoptive parents through child development curricula. High school diploma, AA in early childhood development or related field preferred. At least 1 year of experience working with infants, toddlers and families. Valid New Mexico Driver's License. Bilingual preferred. $14-$16 per hour DOE. Position located in Northern Rio Arriba.

Independent Living Instructor

Seeking part-time instructors to help adults with disabilities acquire the skills to complete day-to-day activities.  Responsibilities: Assisting in adequate nutrition through menu planning, shopping, food preparation, and food preservation, as well as exhibiting personal hygiene (bathing, grooming, and dressing), etc. Bilingual a plus.
