EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR


REX DAVIDSON, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Rex Davidson joined Las Cumbres Community Services as Executive Director in January, 2010. Prior to this position, Rex served as President and CEO of Goodwill Industries of Greater New York and Northern New Jersey for 30 years. During his tenure at Goodwill, the agency grew from a $3 million budget to more than $100 million annually, with a staff of 2,500 employees. Under his direction, Goodwill became the largest provider of workforce development services to New York City and New York State. The agency’s socially responsible business ventures employed more than 1,200 people with disabilities or other barriers to employment. Rex was the only Goodwill executive to have received all top five management awards from Goodwill Industries International, and in 2009, he received special recognition from New York City Mayor Bloomberg for outstanding work in workforce and community development.

In addition to his work, Rex has devoted many hours to volunteering with other non-profit organizations. He has served on the boards and/or advisory committees of organizations such as the State University of New York Stony Brook, Disabled and Alone Life Services for the Handicapped, Lamb’s Center (New York), Better Business Bureau Education and Research Foundation, and several Goodwill Industries International groups. Other professional affiliations have included New York City Workforce Investment Board, New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce, and Acme United Corporation.
