Santa Fe Afghan Resettlement Project

Helps newly relocated Afghan children and families integrate their experiences as they settle into New Mexico communities. Bilingual, trauma-informed, culturally aware therapists and community navigators provide mental health screenings, family prevention, and early intervention services, and specialized individual educational and psychosocial supports, working collaboratively with community stakeholders to promote families’ well-being.

Therapists and navigators can meet with clients in their homes, at our offices, in schools, or at community meeting places. Navigation services also connect families to community resources such as food assistance, transportation, translation, and educational, vocational, and legal assistance.
