Grandparents Raising Grandchildren will be the focus of a workshop led by two Las Cumbres program directors, along with the Director of Con Alma Health Foundation, at the 2014 New Mexico Conference on Aging: "A Diverse Community: Exploring Options, Expanding Horizons".
Delfinia Romero, Director of Family Educational Services, and Patty Shure, Director of Child and Family Services, join Dolores E. Roybal, Executive Director of the Con Alma Health Foundation for an August 19th workshop. Join their presentation, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren, on August 19th at 2:45pm, Ballroom B at Isleta Resort and Casino in the Conference Center. The workshop will provide information on the increasing number of grandparents involved in raising their grandchildren, reasons behind the increase, and a discussion of strategies to address this growing trend.
