to this Event

Las Cumbres Community Services' Fatherhood Program "Padres Unidos", in partnership with Rio Arriba Community Health Council, is planning a Health and Family Day in Española on September 20th. Featuring free health, dental and mental health screenings, the event will also showcase poets, zumba, jazzercise, face painting and other activities for children, as well as prevention workshops and musical guests for the entire family. An exciting addition to the day will be "Raise Your Voice", an interactive poetry workshop and performance for youth and young adults designed to build expression and effective civic action. The event is scheduled for 10AM to 6PM at the Rio Arriba Health Commons building, 2010 Industrial Park Road in Española.

Sponsors are being sought to help make this event a success for everyone. Last year's Northern New Mexico Family Day was attended by an unprecedented 2,500 participants. Please call us to get involved. Booths are also available. Contact Chris Alcala, Las Cumbres' Fatherhood Program Coordinator, Tele: (505) 753-4123 ext 146. Donations are needed for food, supplies and entertainers. Help out today and your business or organization will be acknowledged as a co-sponsor of this FREE event.

Las Cumbres' Fatherhood Program provides therapeutic support groups for fathers, education and co-parenting support, mediation, individual therapy, employment support, and child abuse prevention education.
