M. Abbie Nelson is the Child and Family Programs Coordinator at Las Cumbres in Los Alamos. She is the mother of four spectacular human beings. Abbie began her career working in Social Work, with at-risk teens in Utah. After the unique education of raising 3 Autistic children, she has focused her career efforts on supporting other families on their own journeys. She has worked in Early Intervention for 8 years, as a Developmental Specialist, and Service Coordinator. She is dedicated to providing accessible developmental activities in the community for young children, with a focus on inclusive activities for special needs children. Abbie facilitates a weekly support group for individuals, and families with Special Needs. She also has a weird obsession with Diet Coke.
