Serving Adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in Rio Arriba and Los Alamos Counties

Our Adult Day Services program provides a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Through engaging, community-based and on-site activities, participants build life skills, enjoy social connection, and explore new interests—helping them thrive with greater independence and self-confidence.

Day Habilitation

Group-based activities held at our Adult Services building in Española (transportation provided), with regular community outings to help build social skills and natural supports.

Our Services

Community Access

One-on-one opportunities for clients to engage in their favorite local activities while building independence and connection.

Community Engagement

Visits to the Española Animal Shelter, ceramics classes, arts and crafts workshops, and more in their hometowns

Enrichment Outings

How It Works

Includes swimming, participation in Special Olympics and engaging gardening projects.

Excursions to Santa Fe, Albuquerque, and Taos—exploring the YMCA, galleries, museums, and catching the occasional Isotopes baseball game.

Day Services are tailored to each individual’s interests, needs, and goals. Whether participating in group activities or individualized community access, each client is supported by trained staff who foster growth in communication, mobility, self-determination, and inclusion.

Activities are designed to bring joy, build relationships, and enhance participants’ ability to connect with and contribute to their communities.
