Keeping Families Together
Program is designed to facilitate sustainable housing solutions and support families experiencing homelessness or housing instability. Services focus on building autonomy, security and coping skills to manage daily life stressors. With an emphasis on intensive tiered case management, parenting support, and coordinated access to employment and education, the program promotes long term stability, reduces the risks of foster care involvement, and supports overall family well-being.
Serves clients in Bernalillo County and services can be provided up to two years.
Coordinated, family centered support, designed to address safety, health, education, and overall stability. Services include individualized goal setting regular progress reviews, and direct assistance in identifying and securing housing resources. Staff collaborate closely with behavioral health providers, schools, medical teams, and community partners to reduce barriers and enhance long term family well-being. This tiered model offers flexible levels of support based on family’s needs.

Housing Stability
Comprehensive support that strengthens a family’s ability to obtain and maintain safe stable housing. Services include assisting clients in locating appropriate housing options, skill building, tenancy and communication, and financial literacy support such as budgeting and resources navigation.
Intensive Case Management
Parenting and Development
Coaching and guidance designed to strengthen positive family routines, bonding, boundaries and monitoring parent child relationships, and overall caregiving practices. Services focus on enhancing parenting skills, building confidence, and supporting the emotional developmental needs of children. Staff provide individualized coaching, effective strategies, and help families establish structure, consistency and nurturing interactions in the home. These efforts promote long-term family stability, resilience and healthy child development. The Strengthening Families curriculum is used as a guide for supporting families.
Keeping Families Together Referrals
Referrals accepted from CYFD or other referral sources; early childhood services, homeless shelters, public schools, or domestic violence shelters. Priority given to those families referred by CYFD
Provides long-term, comprehensive in person services to families experiencing homelessness, housing instability, or involvement with Child Protective Services (CPS).
Service Timeline: Up to two years, based on family progress and housing stability needs.
