The Supported Living Program offers round-the-clock services, making it possible for adults with development disabilities, whose needs are beyond the scope of parents or family members, to live in a home setting. Participants receive individualized support based on their different needs and preferences. Residents participated in Special Olympics events, attended concerts, played sports, exercised at the gym, shopped, were involved in arts and crafts events, and went out to dinner and movies.
In FY 2016:
- 7 adults continued living in two adjoining homes in the Los Alamos area
- 14 extended family members received services to help them better understand how to address the emotional and developmental needs of their developmentally disabled family member(s).
