Back-to-School Ready: Santa Fe Sports and Images Sponsors GRG Families

For grandparents and kin caregivers raising children who aren't their own, the start of a new school year often means covering costs all at once, from new shoes and clothes to school supplies that most families otherwise budget for gradually throughout the year.

This year, a donation from Santa Fe Sports and Images helped 20 local families skip that scramble. Through the sponsorship, all 30 school-age children in our Santa Fe Grandparents Raising Grandchildren (GRG) program received a new hoodie and their choice of either $50 in school supplies or a $50 pair of shoes, covering basic back-to-school needs that families would otherwise have gone without.

"We are extremely grateful for the continued support and generosity we receive from Santa Fe Sports and Images!" said Elizabeth Holmes, Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Program Manager. "This is the third year that they have donated to our families to help them with their back-to-school needs."

For three years running, that generosity has meant one less unknown for GRG families during a season that already asks a lot of caregivers.
