What began as a simple idea — “What if our clients could grow their own food?” — blossomed into a thriving garden and a powerful story of growth at Las Cumbres Adult Services. Through a partnership with local expert Ken Kuhne of Grow Y’Own, clients planted seeds that became much more than vegetables — they became symbols of empowerment, healing, and community.

From lettuce to laughter, from basil to belonging, this project proves that when hands meet soil, something beautiful grows — both in the garden and within ourselves.

Las Cumbres’ Adult Day Service members experience the wonder of illusion led by award-winning magician and academic, Dr. Kevin Spencer. With tricks like knot-tying without hands and magical transformations, participants didn’t just learn magic—they built skills in focus, teamwork, and creativity.
